Sewanee professor and student receive awards at regional forest meeting

Elise Landreaux (C'15) and professor Ken Smith were recently honored at the annual meeting of the Kentucky-Tennessee Society of American Foresters in Knoxville, Tennessee. Elise was awarded student of the year and received a cash prize, and she also led the Sewanee team to second place in a quiz bowl competition against larger universities. Smith was voted chair of the 350 member organization and will lead this regional group of foresters and land managers in the coming year.
